Professional Experience:
Since July 2003, working as Senior Lecturer in
Orthopaedics at Medical College, Calicut. Work involves
postgraduate and undergraduate teaching programmes, inpatient
care, doing emergency and elective orthopedic surgeries &
research work.
August 2000 – May 2003, worked at Al-Adan
Hospital, under Ministry of Health, Kuwait, (apex hospital for
the Ahmadi governorate, catering to the needs of one third of
Kuwait population. The hospital has undergraduate teaching
programme and is a clinical examination centre for Royal College
of Physicians and Surgeons). Work included inpatient care,
emergency and elective orthopaedic surgeries, teaching programme
and research. I worked on the “Functional outcome of
Supracondylar-intercondylar fractures of Humerus, -a comparative
study of surgeries with and without olecranon osteotomy”. I was
also a member of Medical Audit Team.
September 1998 – July 2000, worked as Orthopaedic
Surgeon, at Malikdhinar Charitable Hospital, Kasaragod.
April 1997 to August 1998, worked as Lecturer in
Medical College, Calicut, July 1994 to July 1997 Resident
trainee for MS (Orthopaedics) at Calicut Medical College
December 1993 to July 1994 Resident trainee in
Anaesthesiology and Criticalcare Medicine at Calicut Medical
College
April 1993 to December 1993, worked as junior resident
in the Dept of Orthopaedics at Highland Hospital, Manglore.
March 1992 to April 1993 Internship at Calicut Medical
College: Training in Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Medical
specialities, Surgical specialities including Orthopaedic
surgery, OBG, Paediatrics and Community Medicine
